Summer Palace is a Beautiful Palace in Beijing

Summer Palace is one of the famous tourist attractions in Beijing, beside the Forbidden City. Located in Haidian district in Beijing or about 15 km from Beijing. This palace was built in the Jin Dynasty in 1750 and has 290 hectares area. This Beautiful Palace was built in Longvity Hill or Long Live Hill, as the King’s hope (had a long live).

The Summer Palace was used for the king stayed in summer until the Qin Dynasty. The location of this palace is surrounded by Longvity Hill and Lake Kunming in the left side of the palace. Many kind of flowers are blossom in spring, getting more beautiful around the palace. In the right side of the palace, there is a small river with a small bridge. It will be a perfect place to take a picture.

The Summer Palace is a perfect combination of hill, lake and buildings, such as pavilliun, hall, temple, palace and bridge. This beautiful palace was called Qingyi Park, then changed into Yuan Ming Yuan and the last was changed into Yiheyuan in 1881. This Palace had a big renovation in 1881. In front of the palace, there is a big gate. The main building of Yiheyuan is Paiyun hall, located in the highest section in this palace. Other popular building in Yiheyuan is Sumeru Temple, from the top of this temple we can see a beautiful scenery. And, in the lake Kunming there are several canoes for rent to across the lake.

Sahara Desert is the Hottest Desert in the World

Sahara desert is the biggest desert in the world. Name ‘‘sahara’’ was taken from Arabic that means “desert”. This desert is located in the north of Africa. This large desert is 2.5 millions years old, streching from the Atlantic ocean to the Red sea and from Maurritan in the west part to Egypt in the east part.

Sahara desert divides the continent of Africa be North Africa and “the real” Africa. Those part are very different (weather and culture). This desert has 9 milions square area. Sometimes, its temperature reachs 580C, that’s why this desert is known as the hottest desert in the world.

In this Sahara desert, there are several oasis. Those 90 oasis are spreaded in this desert. In Sahara desert, the rain is rarely fall. The temperature of this desert will be very hot at noon and will be very cold at night. In the center of his desert, there is Ahaggar mountain, in the north-west part of this desert there is a rocky hill, called Tassili. The cities arround Sahara desert are Nouackhott (the capital city of Maurritan), Tamanraset, Ourgla, Bechar, Messoud, Ghardala, El Oued, Aljazair, Agadez, Niger, Faya-Largeau and Chad (Libya). Those cities have important roles because their location are near the desert of Sahara.

Yuyuan Garden is a Classic Park in Shanghai

Yuyuan Garden is one of the most beautiful gardens in Shanghai, located in 137 Anren Street, Huangpu district, Shanghai, China. The Yuyuan Garde is a classic park that finished built in 1577 in the Ming Dynasty (1368 – 1644). This beautiful Garden was built by Pan Yunduan, one of the officials in the Ming Dynasty. So, this garden named Pan Yunduan because the Pan’s family lived in this garden area. Actually, this building was built for his parents.

This beautiful garden is more than one hundred years old and had a big renovation. When the Candu war happened in 19th century, this Garden got a big destroyed. But, the Yuyuan Garden could be reconstructed by several rich merchants who bought it. Now, the architecture of this  Garden is a reconstruction result since 1955. Then, this classic Garden was opened for public since September 1961.

The Yuyuan Garden has 20,000 m square area, consists of pavilliun, rocky hall, pool, park and terrace. The each part of the Yuyuan Garden has a unique characteristic. There are six main view of Yuyuan Garden, those are Sansui Hall, Wanhua Chamber, Dianchun Hall, Yuhua Hall and Inner Garden. In front of the gate, there is a 14 m high rock called the Great Rockery. And under the Great Rockery, there is an elegant Cuixu Hall that surrounded by many old trees.

Ubud is a Traditional Village in Bali Indonesia

Ubud is a town in Ubud district, Bali, Indonesia. It is located among rice paddies and steep ravines in the central foothill of the Gianyar regency. This village has population about 30,000 people. Recently, it has become difficult to distinguish the town itself from the villages that surround it. This beautiful village has fresh air, friendly people, and its culture is very interest. There are many tourists who ride bikes or walk along the street of Ubud. On the edge of the street, there are many hotels, cafe, restaurants, stores and stand of vehicles for rent.

People who live in this village still keep their tradition well. They stay in the Bali traditional houses. In this village, there are may places for art, such as the Blanco Reinessance Museum, the Puri Lukisan Museum, Neka Art Museum and the Agung Rai Museum of Art. There is also a Balinese traditional dance, called “tek-tok” in Ubud. It is accompanied by musical sound of mouth “tek-tok” altogether with various combinations of body movement and other sounds. The Tek-Tok dance tale was taken from the Mahabharata, where Draupadi at stake in a gambling.

One of the popular places in Ubud is Wenara Wana or Monkey Forest. This Monkey Forest is a sacred forest, located near the southern end of Jalan Monkey Forest. In this forest, there is Pura Dalem Agung Padangtegal and a holy sourch of water.in another place, there is a holy temple. And in front of this holy temple, there is a pool for koi fish.

Museum of Qin Terracota Warriors

Terracotta Warriors at the Museum of Qin Terracota Warriors is located in Qinling North Road, Lintong district, Xian city in China. The Museum of Qin Terracota Warriors was a cemetery of the first king of the Qin Dynasty. This museum was declared as  World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. This museum has been joined with the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum since October 1st 2010 and it became the biggest tourist destination area in Xian city. King Qin Shi Huang was declared as a king since he was 13 years old in 246 BC and became the first king of the Qin Dynasty. Then, he started built a cemetery for himself. This cemetery has built for 11 years and now, it became the Museum of Qin Terracota Warriors.

This cemetery was found for the first time by a group of farmers in 1974. The large of the cemetery that found is 16,300 m square. The farmers also found thousands of the Terracota Warriors that made from solid soil. After the excavation, there are three pits were found in the cemetery area. The first pit is the largest area with many statues were found. The first pit was opened for public  in the Chinese National Day  in 1979. The second pit is smaller than the first pit, located about 20 m in the north-east of the first pit. In the second pit, there are 1,000 warriors and 90 wooden carriages. This second pit was opened in 1994. And the last pit is located 25 m in the north-west of the first pit. The third pit is the center of the cemetery. There are more than 7,000 warriors with horses, carriages and weapons. Now, the Museum of Qin Terracotta Warriors is a popular tourist destination in Xian city.

Great Wall of China, the Longest Wall

China Great Wall or famous as the Great Wall of China is the longest wall in the world. It was built by a king from the Zheng Dynasty, Shi Huangdi, started built in 221 BC to 206 BC. The Great Wall of China was built to protect the empires and Chinese states from raids and invasions. The Great wall of China was made from stones, bricks, woods and other materials.

The Great Wall of China is a 21,196 km long wall, streching from Dandong in the east to Lop lake in the west. The Great Wall has o and off been rebuilt, maintained and enchanted by the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Since the Ming Dynasty has over thrown, no further work has been done on the Great Wall (some has been restored for tourism). Nearly 1/3 of the Great Wall has dissapeared without trace. Most of today’s relics are the Ming Dynasty Great Wall, crosses 9 provinces. The most visited section is Badaling with the average of height 7.8 m and 14 m high in the highest section. In December 1987, the Great Wall of China declared as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Actually, the Great Wall of China is 2,300 years old.

The scenery of the Great Wall is very beautiful. We can see the land of China from the highest section of the Great Wall. It will be wonderful. So, don’t forget to visit the Great Wall of China if you come in China and get a wonderful experience of it.

Lake Kelimutu Indonesia

Kelimutu lake is one of the tourist destinations in Flores island, Nusa Tenggara Timur province, Indonesia. Kelimutu includes three regions, those are Detsuko, Wolowaru and Ndona. All of them are in Ende regency. On the top of its mount, there are three lakes or caldrons. The water of these lakes can change from time by time. Name ‘kelimutu’ was taken from words ‘keli’ that means mount and ‘mutu’ that means boiled. The people who live in this area believe that every colour of these lakes have means and a powerfull power of nature.

Lake or Tiwu Kelimutu divided to be three parts accord its colour. The Blue Lake or Tiwu Nuwa Muri Koo Fai is believed as a place for the youth souls. The Red Lake or Tiwu Ata Polo is believed for souls of the people who always do bad things along their live. And the White Lake or Tiwu Ata Mbupu is believed as a place for the old people souls.

Beside the Kelimutu Lake, in this area includes Kelimutu National Park. It is a forest that has big trees and many kind species of birds. There are also hot water sourch, waterfall and a traditional village. In this traditional village, you can find traditional houses, traditional cloth and traditional dance. If you want to visit Lake Kelimutu, the perfect time to visit is between July to September.
